Our deep knowledge of immuno-oncology and vaccines has laid the foundation for our scientists who are focused on drug discovery and development efforts for immune disorders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Our focus on immunology research &amp; treatments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">It\u2019s estimated as many as one in 10 people are living with immune disorders around the world. We\u2019re accelerating our growing capabilities in immunology and evaluating new treatment options for people with certain immune disorders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"599\" height=\"258\" src=\"https:\/\/www.msd-cyprus.com.cy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/109\/2025\/04\/c-15830.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2418\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exploring new modalities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With an advanced understanding of human biology, there&#8217;s been an emergence of innovative medicines and new modalities that aim to change the way we approach treatment for immune disorders. We\u2019re investigating targets that have been implicated in many autoimmune-related diseases, including tumor necrosis factor-like ligand 1A (TL1A), interleukin-2 (IL-2) protein and CD30L.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"598\" height=\"256\" src=\"https:\/\/www.msd-cyprus.com.cy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/109\/2025\/04\/c-15831.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2419\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bringing precision medicine to immunology<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve made significant investments over the past few years and hope to usher in a new era in immunology. We&#8217;re pursuing biomarkers that could play a key role in identifying people who are more likely to respond to therapies.
